Ayyoub Bouaddi has overtaken Achraf Hakimi to become Morocco’s most valuable footballer, following a new Transfermarkt update published on Wednesday, October 7, 2026.

The 19-year-old Manchester City midfielder is now valued at €90 million, an increase of €10 million from his previous estimate of €80 million. Hakimi, the 27-year-old Paris Saint-Germain right-back, remains at €80 million.

The change ends a tie at the top of Morocco’s market-value rankings. Just five days earlier, both players held joint first place in the October 2 Atlas Lions Insider Market Value Tracker.

Bouaddi’s market value rises again

Bouaddi’s latest increase continues a substantial rise in his estimated market value during 2026.

Transfermarkt valued the midfielder at €50 million at the beginning of June, before Morocco’s World Cup campaign. His valuation subsequently reached €80 million in July and has now increased to €90 million following the platform’s latest Premier League review.

The new figure comes less than two months after his move from Lille to Manchester City.

City completed the signing on August 26, with Bouaddi agreeing to a five-year contract running until June 2031. The transfer was widely reported at an initial €95 million, potentially rising to €100 million with add-ons, although the club did not officially disclose the fee.

Bouaddi had already attracted considerable attention during the 2026 World Cup, starting five of Morocco’s six matches as the Atlas Lions reached the quarter-finals.

His latest valuation follows those developments, although Transfermarkt’s estimate does not establish how much weight was assigned to his international performances, club transfer or other factors.

A new leader in Morocco’s market-value rankings

The October 7 update changes the leading position in Morocco’s player valuation hierarchy.

PlayerClubOctober 2October 7
Ayyoub BouaddiManchester City€80m€90m
Achraf HakimiParis Saint-Germain€80m€80m

Bouaddi’s €10 million increase represents a 12.5% rise from his previous valuation.

It also establishes a distinction between Morocco’s two highest-valued players. Hakimi remains among the world’s most valuable right-backs, while Bouaddi now leads the Moroccan ranking at just 19.

For Atlas Lions Insider, the change is particularly relevant because the October 2 tracker recorded the pair level at €80 million. The new valuation therefore represents a subsequent development rather than a correction to that historical snapshot.

The next comprehensive tracker update will account for Bouaddi’s increase alongside any other verified changes across Morocco’s Top 50.

As with all Transfermarkt figures, the €90 million valuation is an estimate of market value, not a transfer fee or a measure of Bouaddi’s importance to the national team.
