Morocco Market Value by League: €859.3m Breakdown

Ligue 1 currently holds more of Morocco’s Top-50 player market value than any other domestic league, with 10 players worth a combined €195 million.

The Bundesliga is close behind at €184 million, followed by the Premier League at €171 million and La Liga at €132.5 million.

Together, those four leagues account for €682.5 million, or 79.4% of the entire €859.3 million value recorded in the Atlas Lions Market Value Tracker baseline dated September 25, 2026.

The distribution also shows just how European Morocco’s most valuable player pool remains: 46 of the Top 50 play in European leagues, carrying an estimated combined value of €823.3 million, or 95.8% of the total.

Morocco player market value by league

The calculation uses each player’s current club on the September 25 Atlas Lions Insider tracker and groups those clubs by their 2026/27 domestic league. The tracker’s club information is kept current independently of the underlying market-value estimates. Current league participation for recently promoted clubs was cross-checked against official competition schedules, including the Premier League, Bundesliga, La Liga and Ligue 1.

Ligue 1 leads with €195m of Moroccan value

France sits at the top of the ranking with 10 Moroccan players worth €195 million combined.

That is both the highest number of players in any single league and the largest aggregate market value.

Achraf Hakimi accounts for €80 million of that figure at Paris Saint-Germain, but the French total extends well beyond Morocco’s captain.

Samir El Mourabet is valued at €22 million with Strasbourg, Hamza Igamane at €18 million with Lille, while Nayef Aguerd and Sofiane Diop each carry €15 million valuations.

Further down the ranking are Abdelhamid Aït Boudlal at Rennes, Gessime Yassine at Strasbourg, Osame Sahraoui at Lille, Yassin Belkhdim at Angers and Amine Harit at Marseille.

All of those clubs are part of the 2026/27 Ligue 1 field.

Hakimi represents 41% of the total Ligue 1 Moroccan value, so France’s position at the top is partly concentrated in its most valuable player. Even without Hakimi, however, the other nine players still combine for €115 million.

Bundesliga is only €11m behind France

Germany is the closest challenger.

Eight players in the Bundesliga account for €184 million, just €11 million below Ligue 1.

The group is headed by Ismael Saibari at Bayern Munich on €55 million, followed by Bilal El Khannouss at Stuttgart on €35 million and Neil El Aynaoui at RB Leipzig on €30 million.

Bayer Leverkusen’s Eliesse Ben Seghir adds €20 million, with Zakaria El Ouahdi and Bilal Nadir at Hamburger SV, Ayoube Amaimouni-Echghouyab at Eintracht Frankfurt and Soufiane El-Faouzi at Schalke completing the group.

Schalke’s presence is particularly relevant to the calculation because the club is competing in the Bundesliga in 2026/27 after playing in the second tier the previous season. The Bundesliga’s official current-season schedule confirms both Schalke and Hamburger SV in the top flight.

Unlike France, Germany’s €184 million is spread across several high-value players rather than being dominated by a single €80 million figure.

Premier League has fewer players but the highest average value among the top four

The Premier League ranks third in total Moroccan market value at €171 million, despite containing only six players from the Top 50.

That produces an average value of €28.5 million per player, higher than the comparable averages in Ligue 1, the Bundesliga or La Liga.

Ayyoub Bouaddi is the major figure at €80 million following his move to Manchester City.

He is joined by Chemsdine Talbi at Sunderland (€25m), Amine Adli at Bournemouth (€20m), Chadi Riad at Crystal Palace (€20m), Noussair Mazraoui at Manchester United (€18m) and Issa Diop at Ipswich Town (€8m).

The Premier League’s official 2026/27 fixture list confirms Sunderland and Ipswich among the current top-flight clubs alongside City, Bournemouth, Palace and Manchester United.

Bouaddi alone represents almost 47% of the Moroccan value in the Premier League.

That makes England an interesting contrast with Germany: the Premier League has fewer Moroccan Top-50 players, but a higher average valuation.

La Liga has eight players worth €132.5m

Spain ranks fourth with eight players and €132.5 million in combined value.

Abde Ezzalzouli leads the group at Real Betis with €40 million, followed by Brahim Díaz at Real Madrid on €35 million.

Omar El Hilali is valued at €15 million with Espanyol and Ilias Akhomach at €12 million with Villarreal.

The remaining Spanish-based players are Yassir Zabiri at Racing Santander (€9m), Jones El-Abdellaoui (€8m) and Couhaib Driouech (€7.5m) at Celta Vigo, and Adam Aznou at Málaga (€6m).

Both Racing Santander and Málaga are competing in La Liga in 2026/27, something worth noting because both have recently moved through Spain’s league structure. La Liga’s official current-season results confirm their places in the Primera División.

Spain therefore matches Germany with eight Top-50 Moroccan players, but their combined value is €51.5 million lower.

Four leagues account for almost 80% of the entire Top 50

France, Germany, England and Spain contain 32 of Morocco’s 50 most valuable players.

Those 32 players are worth €682.5 million, or 79.4% of the entire ranking.

The concentration matters because the Top 50 is otherwise spread across 14 different domestic leagues.

The next-highest league after La Liga is Greece’s Super League at only €44 million.

That creates a clear separation between the leading four leagues and the rest of the distribution.

It also reflects the wider European structure surrounding Morocco’s national-team pool. 95.8% of the Top-50 value is in Europe

The broader continental split is even more pronounced.

46 of the Top 50 players currently play in Europe.

Their combined value is €823.3 million, representing 95.8% of the complete €859.3 million tracker.

Only four players in the Top 50 currently play outside Europe:

Together they account for €36 million, or about 4.2% of Morocco’s Top-50 value.

This does not mean playing in Europe causes a player to receive a higher market valuation. Market-value estimates reflect multiple factors, including age, performance, contract status, transfer demand and the wider market around a player.

The dataset shows where the value is currently located. It does not establish why those valuations are higher or lower.

The distribution reflects Morocco’s unusual talent model

Morocco’s national-team pool combines players developed domestically with a large diaspora pipeline spread across Europe.

Morocco’s leading players are not concentrated around one foreign country or one development pathway. The Top 50 stretches across France, Germany, England, Spain, the Netherlands, Greece, Portugal, Italy and Belgium before extending into leagues in Saudi Arabia, the United States, Mexico and the UAE.

That breadth is also reflected in the current Morocco national-team squad and positional depth chart, where players arrive from several of Europe’s major leagues rather than from a single domestic or overseas base.

Transfers can move value from one league to another even when an individual player’s valuation remains unchanged. Market-value updates can then change the totals again without any transfer taking place.

Recording both allows Atlas Lions Insider to distinguish between where Moroccan player value is moving and whether the underlying valuations themselves are rising or falling.

This analysis uses the Atlas Lions Insider Market Value Tracker baseline dated September 25, 2026, covering Morocco’s 50 highest-valued players in the tracker.

Market values are Transfermarkt reference estimates and should not be interpreted as actual transfer fees. Club information is maintained separately when verified transfers make the underlying valuation source’s club listing outdated.

Players were grouped according to the domestic league in which their current club competes during the 2026/27 season. The calculations cover the Top 50 only and do not represent the market value of every Moroccan professional footballer worldwide.
