The report, relayed by Morocco World News, Africafoot, Eremnews and several Dutch and Maghreb outlets, surfaced in early September 2026, after the French transfer window had closed but while the Saudi market remained open. That timing gave Al-Hilal room to submit a bid PSG could not immediately act on through normal domestic transfer channels, though the club still had the option to refuse outright.
The proposed fee is described as separate from any bonuses or salary terms. PSG originally signed Hakimi from Inter Milan in 2021 for between €60 million and €70 million, meaning the Saudi offer would represent a potential profit of €50 million to €60 million if accepted. Transfermarkt currently values the 27-year-old right-back at around €80 million, well below Al-Hilal’s proposal.
