psv feyenoord chase ouaissa

Sami Ouaissa’s future has become a genuine three-way tug-of-war. The 21-year-old NEC Nijmegen winger, who can also operate as an attacking midfielder, is drawing serious interest from PSV, Feyenoord, and now Lille, whose involvement adds a French dimension to what had been a Dutch-only chase. Reports on 24 August 2026, citing Foot Mercato, described Lille’s interest as concrete, though no formal offer has been confirmed.

Lille’s concrete interest adds a French twist to the PSV-Feyenoord chase for NEC’s Sami Ouaissa.

Ouaissa remains under contract with NEC until 30 June 2028, meaning any suitor will need to negotiate a transfer fee rather than wait for a free move. That long deal has strengthened NEC’s hand, and the Eredivisie club is reportedly holding out for a fee somewhere between €8 million and €10 million, depending on which report is believed.

PSV’s interest became public late in the window, with the club said to be in talks with NEC without having submitted a formal bid yet. PSV appears to be moving late as it searches for attacking reinforcements, and one report suggests Ouaissa is open to joining the project in Eindhoven. Still, NEC’s asking price is described as the main obstacle standing in PSV’s way.

Feyenoord’s pursuit has been running longer than PSV’s. Reports say the club reached a personal agreement with Ouaissa earlier in the summer over a four-year contract, though the transfer itself remains unresolved. Feyenoord’s next move may hinge on outgoing business, particularly a possible sale of Anis Hadj Moussa, which could free up funds. Feyenoord’s valuation is said to sit closer to €8 million, though there is reportedly room to negotiate if the fee approaches €9 million plus a sell-on clause.

Lille’s arrival in the race complicates matters further for both Dutch clubs. Its interest broadens Ouaissa’s market beyond the Eredivisie’s traditional top three and gives NEC additional leverage to push for a higher fee. No club has completed a deal so far, and NEC’s valuation, contract length, and multiple suitors all point toward a drawn-out negotiation as the transfer window nears its close.
