Ismael Saibari, Abdessamad Ezzalzouli and Achraf Hakimi featured in Atlas Lions Insider's weekend club football roundup

Moroccan internationals Ismael Saibari and Abdessamad Ezzalzouli were on the scoresheet for their clubs this weekend, while Achraf Hakimi returned to Paris Saint-Germain’s starting lineup following his recent thigh injury.

Saibari scored in Bayern Munich’s 2-2 draw against Augsburg on Saturday, October 10, before Ezzalzouli found the net in Real Betis’ 5-2 victory over Osasuna on Sunday. Hakimi also started as PSG defeated Le Mans 3-1 in Ligue 1.

Saibari scores in Bayern’s comeback draw

Saibari scored Bayern Munich’s first equaliser in the 55th minute against Augsburg, finishing a move created by Harry Kane.

Augsburg had taken the lead through Robin Fellhauer after just eight seconds, the fastest goal in Bundesliga history.

The Moroccan midfielder brought Bayern level early in the second half, but Rodrigo Ribeiro restored Augsburg’s advantage in the 64th minute.

Nathaniel Brown eventually secured a point for Bayern with another Kane-assisted goal in the 80th minute.

Saibari started the match after replacing the injured Jamal Musiala in Vincent Kompany’s lineup.

Ezzalzouli finds the net against Osasuna

Ezzalzouli continued his scoring form with a goal in Real Betis’ 5-2 home victory against Osasuna at the Estadio La Cartuja on Sunday.

The Morocco winger doubled Betis’ lead in the 31st minute, completing a counterattack following an assist from Cucho Hernández.

Isco had opened the scoring from the penalty spot before Ezzalzouli made it 2-0. Betis eventually secured the victory with further goals from Diego Llorente, Isco and José Antonio Morante.

Ezzalzouli remained on the pitch until stoppage time, when Morante replaced him.

The goal followed his recent contribution for Morocco, when he converted a first-half penalty in the Atlas Lions’ 1-1 friendly draw with Mali on October 4.

Hakimi returns to PSG’s starting lineup

Achraf Hakimi made his return to PSG’s starting eleven on Saturday following the right-thigh injury that disrupted his recent playing schedule.

The Morocco right-back played 72 minutes in PSG’s 3-1 home victory over Le Mans at the Parc des Princes before being replaced by Désiré Doué.

Hakimi was involved in several attacking moves, including an effort saved by goalkeeper Nicolas Kocik in the 53rd minute.

Lucas Beraldo, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Maghnes Akliouche scored PSG’s goals.

The appearance marks another step in Hakimi’s return to regular club action following the thigh problem that previously raised concerns about his availability.

The weekend’s matches provided further playing time for three established Morocco internationals as they continue their domestic campaigns ahead of the next international window.
