Morocco’s current senior camp carries a combined reference market value of approximately €563.4 million, according to the Atlas Lions Insider Market Value Tracker baseline dated September 25, 2026.
The headline figure only tells part of the story.
Of the 50 most valuable Moroccan players in the tracker, 23 are in the current camp, accounting for €554 million of the Top 50’s combined €859.3 million valuation. Another seven squad players sit below the tracker’s €5 million Top-50 cutoff, adding €9.4 million to the total.
That means Morocco’s current group contains about 64.5% of all the market value held by the country’s Top 50 players, even though fewer than half of those 50 players are in camp.
It is also a highly concentrated squad: the seven players valued at €30 million or more account for €355 million, or roughly 63% of the entire camp’s estimated market value.
Hakimi and Bouaddi lead Morocco at €80 million
Achraf Hakimi and Ayyoub Bouaddi sit jointly at the top of the Atlas Lions Market Value Tracker at €80 million each.
Hakimi, 27, remains Morocco’s highest-valued established international, while Bouaddi has reached the same €80 million mark at just 18. Bouaddi is therefore also the tracker’s most valuable Moroccan U23 player.
Behind them, Ismael Saibari is valued at €55 million, followed by Abde Ezzalzouli at €40 million. Bilal El Khannouss and Brahim Díaz are both at €35 million, while Neil El Aynaoui completes the group above the €30 million threshold.
| Player | Age | Club | Market value |
|---|---|---|---|
| Achraf Hakimi | 27 | Paris Saint-Germain | €80m |
| Ayyoub Bouaddi | 18 | Manchester City | €80m |
| Ismael Saibari | 25 | Bayern Munich | €55m |
| Abde Ezzalzouli | 24 | Real Betis | €40m |
| Bilal El Khannouss | 22 | VfB Stuttgart | €35m |
| Brahim Díaz | 27 | Real Madrid | €35m |
| Neil El Aynaoui | 25 | RB Leipzig | €30m |
All seven are part of the current Morocco camp.
Together, they are valued at €355 million. Hakimi and Bouaddi alone account for €160 million, more than a quarter of the combined value of the entire group.
This concentration is important when interpreting the overall squad figure. Morocco has considerable depth, but a relatively small group of elite-value players still accounts for a large share of its estimated player-market capital.
23 of Morocco’s Top 50 are in the current camp
Atlas Lions Insider’s tracker currently identifies 23 Top-50 players as part of the senior camp.
Those 23 players carry a combined market value of €554 million. The remaining 27 players in the Top 50 are valued at a combined €305.3 million.
The comparison shows that Mohamed Ouahbi’s current group contains most of Morocco’s highest-value assets even though selection is far from a simple market-value ranking.
The original squad announced on September 17 contained 29 players. Ilias Akhomach was then called into camp on September 22 and joined the group alongside Hakimi and Saibari on September 23. Atlas Lions Insider therefore currently tracks 30 players in camp.
Akhomach adds another €12 million to the market-value profile of the group.
Chemsdine Talbi is the most valuable Moroccan outside the current camp
The highest-ranked player in the Atlas Lions Market Value Tracker who is not currently tagged as part of the senior camp is Sunderland winger Chemsdine Talbi, valued at €25 million.
He is followed by three players at €20 million: Amine Adli, Chadi Riad and Eliesse Ben Seghir.
Hamza Igamane is valued at €18 million, while Youssef En-Nesyri sits immediately behind at €17 million.
| Player | Club | Market value | Current status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chemsdine Talbi | Sunderland AFC | €25m | Not in current camp |
| Amine Adli | AFC Bournemouth | €20m | Not in current camp |
| Chadi Riad | Crystal Palace | €20m | Injured / unavailable |
| Eliesse Ben Seghir | Bayer Leverkusen | €20m | Not in current camp |
| Hamza Igamane | LOSC Lille | €18m | Not in current camp |
| Youssef En-Nesyri | Al-Ittihad | €17m | Not in current camp |
Chadi Riad needs to be treated differently from a conventional non-selection. Morocco’s official pre-Gabon update listed the centre-back as unavailable through injury.
For the other players, market value alone does not establish why they are outside the current group. Selection can reflect form, fitness, tactical requirements, positional competition and the coaching staff’s plans. The tracker measures estimated player value; it does not attempt to grade selection decisions.
That distinction will remain central to Atlas Lions Insider’s Market Intelligence coverage.
Morocco already has €186 million in players aged 22 or younger
The current camp also reveals how much value is already concentrated in Morocco’s next generation.
Nine players in the group are 22 or younger on the September 25 tracker:
Ayyoub Bouaddi, Bilal El Khannouss, Samir El Mourabet, Abdelhamid Aït Boudlal, Gessime Yassine, Ilias Akhomach, Yassir Zabiri, Ali Maamar and Abdellah Ouazane.
Together, they carry an estimated market value of approximately €186 million.
Bouaddi accounts for €80 million of that total, but the broader group is significant. El Khannouss is at €35 million and El Mourabet at €22 million, while Aït Boudlal, Gessime and Akhomach are each valued at €12 million.
CAF highlighted Morocco’s move toward youth when Ouahbi announced his initial squad, with Ouazane, Soufian El Faouzi and Zabiri among the newcomers receiving opportunities.
The market-value data adds another dimension to that story: Morocco is not simply introducing young players around an ageing core. A substantial portion of the squad’s estimated value is already tied to players who could remain central to the national-team cycle for years.
Market value does not equal importance to Morocco
The other end of the tracker illustrates why market values have to be interpreted carefully.
Yassine Bounou is valued at €3 million despite his long-established importance to the national team. Munir El Kajoui is at €600,000, Ahmed Reda Tagnaouti at €1 million and Alaa Bellaarouch at €400,000.
Age, position, contract situation and potential resale value all affect market estimates. Older goalkeepers in particular cannot be compared directly with an 18-year-old midfielder expected to retain or increase substantial transfer value.
That is why Atlas Lions Insider will use market value as one analytical measure, rather than as a ranking of footballing quality or national-team importance.
What the first Atlas Lions Market Intelligence snapshot tells us
The September 25 baseline establishes several useful reference points.
Morocco’s Top 50 players have a combined estimated market value of €859.3 million.
The current camp is valued at approximately €563.4 million.
Twenty-three members of the camp appear inside the Top 50, while seven sit below its €5 million cutoff.
Hakimi and Bouaddi lead the overall ranking at €80 million. Bouaddi also leads the U23 ranking, while Talbi is currently the highest-valued Top-50 player outside the camp.
Most importantly, this is a baseline, not yet a market-movement study.
Future tracker snapshots will allow Atlas Lions Insider to measure actual changes between recorded dates: which Moroccan players rose or fell, how the value of the national-team pool changed, whether transfers were followed by valuation changes, and how emerging players moved through the ranking.
That historical layer is where the tracker becomes more than a list of current Transfermarkt estimates.
Methodology
This analysis uses the Atlas Lions Insider Market Value Tracker baseline dated September 25, 2026.
Market values are Transfermarkt reference estimates and should not be interpreted as actual transfer fees or guaranteed sale prices. Atlas Lions Insider records the figures periodically so changes can be compared between snapshots. Club information may be updated independently when more recent transfer information is available.
Current squad status reflects Morocco’s September 2026 senior camp, including Ilias Akhomach’s late call-up after the original 29-player squad was announced.
