Achraf Hakimi scored the first hat-trick of his professional career and provided two assists as Paris Saint-Germain came from behind to defeat Le Havre 5-1 in Ligue 1 on Friday, October 30.

The Morocco international was directly involved in all five PSG goals at the Stade Océane, scoring in the 28th, 55th and 69th minutes after helping his side recover from an early deficit.

Hakimi also set up Mika Godts and Senny Mayulu, completing a five-goal contribution from right-back before being substituted in the 71st minute.

The performance helped Luis Enrique’s side maintain their position at the top of Ligue 1 after nine matches.

Hakimi leads PSG’s comeback after Le Havre opener

Le Havre took the lead in the 18th minute when Josh Maja converted Rayan Fofana’s cross following a counterattack.

PSG responded eight minutes later.

Lucas Hernández played Hakimi through on the right, allowing the Moroccan to deliver the ball for Godts to equalize from close range in the 26th minute.

Two minutes later, Hakimi put PSG ahead himself.

Senny Mayulu released the right-back into the penalty area, where he advanced beyond the defence and finished past goalkeeper Arnaud Bodart at the near post.

The goal completed a quick turnaround and gave PSG a 2-1 lead at halftime.

Hakimi continued to influence the attack after the break.

In the 55th minute, he scored directly from a free kick, placing his right-footed effort beyond Bodart to extend PSG’s advantage.

Seven minutes later, he turned provider again, playing Mayulu through as the midfielder took advantage of the goalkeeper’s decision to leave his line.

The fourth goal left PSG firmly in control, but Hakimi had one more contribution to make.

In the 69th minute, Godts created an opening from the left and delivered the ball into the area. Hakimi finished the move to complete his hat-trick and make it 5-1.

Luis Enrique replaced him with Wassim Boly two minutes later.

Three goals and two assists in 71 minutes

Hakimi’s performance was particularly notable because he produced five direct goal contributions while starting as a defender.

His three goals came from different situations: a run into the penalty area, a direct free kick and a finish from a teammate’s delivery.

Both assists involved his ability to advance into attacking positions and create opportunities for teammates.

PSG’s official account of the match confirms his involvement in all five goals.

Sofascore awarded Hakimi a perfect 10 rating, crediting him with six shots, five on target, three key passes and three big chances created.

Those figures reflect his attacking contribution, although they do not provide a complete assessment of his defensive performance.

The hat-trick was the first of Hakimi’s senior professional career, a milestone he acknowledged in his post-match comments to PSG’s official media.

Hakimi: First hat-trick adds to his attacking record

Hakimi’s contribution against Le Havre follows several weeks of renewed involvement in PSG’s attack.

The Moroccan had already provided an assist in PSG’s 4-2 Champions League victory over Barcelona on October 20, setting up Fabián Ruiz’s late goal.

That performance also added to his Champions League assist record.

The Le Havre match offered a different measure of his attacking role. Rather than contributing from wide areas alone, Hakimi repeatedly entered central scoring positions and completed the moves himself.

His free-kick goal also demonstrated another method of contributing when PSG faced a set-piece opportunity.

The performance came just days after Hakimi finished 13th in the 2026 Ballon d’Or voting, having placed sixth in 2025.

The awards reflect voting over a previous period, while Friday’s performance belongs to the current season. The two developments should be considered separately.

What the performance means for Morocco

Hakimi remains a central figure in Morocco’s senior national-team squad, where he provides experience and attacking support from the right side of defence.

His performance comes ahead of Morocco’s November Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Niger.

Coach Mohamed Ouahbi is expected to announce his next squad on November 4, with the Atlas Lions scheduled to face Niger on November 13 and 17.

Hakimi’s recent return to regular playing time is also relevant after a thigh problem interrupted his schedule earlier in the season.

Friday’s match provided evidence of his current attacking form, although PSG’s approach against Le Havre cannot be directly compared with Morocco’s tactics or opponents.

For the Atlas Lions, his ability to create and finish chances from right-back remains an important part of what he offers the national team.

Hakimi celebrates first hat-trick as PSG stay top

Speaking to PSG TV after the match, Hakimi expressed satisfaction with the team’s response after conceding first.

He also acknowledged the personal significance of recording his first career hat-trick.

Luis Enrique praised PSG’s overall performance, highlighting the team’s ability to control the match and create chances despite the early setback.

The victory moved PSG to 20 points from nine Ligue 1 matches and kept them at the top of the table.

Their next European fixture is against Villarreal in the Champions League.

For Hakimi, the Le Havre victory marked a personal scoring milestone and one of his most productive attacking performances for PSG, with three goals and two assists in 71 minutes.
