Aboukhlal joined Torino after leaving Toulouse FC, where he played from 2022 to 2025 and built his reputation in Ligue 1. Italian media have already described his Torino exit as effectively done, framing the loan-with-option formula as a low-risk way for Auxerre to bring him in while still keeping a path to a permanent deal. His market value is estimated between six and eight million euros, with a spring 2026 valuation near 7.5 million.
The Morocco international, capped 22 times, is now 26 and coming off a serious knee injury that kept him out for six months before he returned to action with Toulouse. He operates mainly as a right winger but can play across the front line. Aboukhlal is seen as a direct response to that need, adding pace and goal threat to a squad searching for answers.
